React Job Details

Senior Software Engineer (3D)

SeeSpine is a telehealth application combining 3D imaging and artificial intelligence in scoliosis management. From a video taken on any smartphone, SeeSpine recreates a scaled 3D model of the torso, quantifies the deformity, and predicts progression of the disease. By leveraging radiation-free, remote software, SeeSpine allows for more frequent assessment, decreasing the probability of requiring surgery and the incumbent breast cancer risks. SeeSpine offers employees the opportunity to put their talent towards helping millions of children across the globe.

We’re looking for a software engineer to join our team. As one of the first engineers you have the opportunity to work on the core of our product and take on a great deal of responsibility. You will oversee the development of the software that analyses point clouds to detect scoliosis.

About you

  • 5+ years of industry experience and you are comfortable working and thinking in 3D.
  • You are proficient in Python and relevant libraries like NumPy (experience working with point clouds is preferable, but not required). You strive to write elegant and maintainable code, and you're comfortable picking up new technologies.
  • You have broad knowledge about transport and API protocols like REST.
  • You have a product mindset to understand business needs and develop scalable engineering solutions.
  • You are always looking for opportunities to simplify, automate tasks, and build reusable components across multiple use cases.
  • You have strong communication skills.
  • You are curious and eager to work across a variety of engineering specialties (i.e., 3D analysis, machine learning, cloud infrastructure).
  • You have an eye for detail and like to spark joy amongst your partners with well- documented high-quality products that are modelled and easy to understand.
  • You are comfortable working in the most agile environments with vague requirements and rapid iterations. You are nimble and take intelligent risks.

What we can offer you

  • A competitive salary.
  • Flexible work week.
  • Work from home as often as you like.
  • The chance to build a product that will benefit millions of children with scoliosis around the world.

Our culture

You love working independently while also collaborating and giving/receiving candid feedback. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
